Therapeutic Indications Paracetamol - Oral or rectal: fever; mild to moderate pain of any etiology. - IV: moderate pain and fever, short-term, when there is an urgent need or other routes are not possible. Administration Paracetamol Orally dispersible tablet: Dissolve in the mouth before swallowing. Effervescent granules: Dissolve in a glass of water, take when the bubbling stops. Oral solution: Can be taken diluted in water, milk, or fruit juice, or directly. Powder for oral solution: Take dissolved in water. Granules for oral solution: Dissolve in 1/2 glass of cold water and take immediately. Suppository: Insert deeply into the rectum. If too soft to use, chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or under cold running water before removing the wrapper, or if necessary, afterward to prevent softening. The entire suppository should be used. Do not fractionate before administration.

Mechanism of action Phenytoin Inhibits the propagation of convulsive activity in the cerebral motor cortex: it stabilizes the threshold by promoting the diffusion of sodium from the neurons. Treatment of severe acute asthma or status asthmaticus. Initial parenteral treatment of severe acute extensive dermatological diseases such as erythroderma, pemphigus vulgaris, or acute eczema. Initial parenteral treatment of active phases of collagenoses such as systemic lupus erythematosus, especially visceral forms. Treatment of severe infectious diseases (e.g., typhoid fever, brucellosis, tuberculosis), only as adjunctive therapy to appropriate anti-infective therapy. Prophylaxis and treatment of nausea and vomiting induced by cytostatics and after surgical interventions within the context of antiemetic regimens. Short-term adjunctive treatment during acute episodes or exacerbations of rheumatic diseases. Dexamethasone 40 mg/5 ml injectable solution: Treatment of cerebral edema secondary to brain tumors and head trauma. Treatment of traumatic shock. Treatment of anaphylactic shock (as post-primary epinephrine injection therapy).
