Therapeutic Indications Betamethasone + gentamicin + clotrimazole Indicated for the relief of inflammatory manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses complicated by a secondary infection caused by organisms sensitive to the components of this dermatological preparation, or when such an infection is suspected. Clotrimazole has been shown to be effective in the treatment of tinea pedis, tinea curis, and tinea corporis due to Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, and Microsporum canis; candidiasis caused by Candida albicans; and tinea versicolor due to Malassezia furfur (Pityrosporum orbiculare). Gentamicin provides a highly effective topical treatment for primary and secondary bacterial skin infections. Bacteria susceptible to the action of gentamicin include sensitive strains of Staphylococcus aureus (coagulase-positive and -negative, and some penicillinase-producing strains) and the gram-negative bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Aerobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris, and Klebsiella pneumoniae. WHAT IS ANGENOVAG AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR? Treatment of vaginal infections. The active ingredients in this medication complement the antiseptic, antimicrobial, and antifungal action of dequalinium chloride, the bactericidal antibiotic action of tyrothricin, the anti-inflammatory action of enoxolone and hydrocortisone acetate, and the local anesthetic action of lidocaine hydrochloride. As a medicated adhesive patch for the treatment of psoriasis (red patches on the skin with white scales) located in difficult-to-treat areas such as elbows and knees, in areas no larger than approximately 5 times the size of the palm of your hand.
