Antitussives

Kodel is a syrup used as an antitussive and mucolytic, indicated to relieve coughs and facilitate the expulsion of phlegm. It contains bromhexine, a mucolytic that helps thin bronchial secretions, and codeine, an antitussive that reduces cough frequency. Kodel is useful for treating coughs associated with acute or chronic respiratory processes, both inflammatory and infectious.

Benzonatate is used to relieve coughs. Benzonatate belongs to a class of medications called antitussives (cough suppressants). It works by reducing the cough reflex in the lungs and airways.
