It works by stopping the production of certain natural substances that cause fever, pain, inflammation, and blood clots. Aspirin is also available in combination with other medications such as antacids, pain relievers, and cough and cold medications.

Aspirin helps increase blood flow to the legs. It can be used to treat a heart attack and prevent blood clots when you have an abnormal heart rhythm. It works by reducing pain and fever. This medication is indicated for the symptomatic relief of mild to moderate occasional pain, such as headaches, toothaches, menstrual pain, muscle pain (contractures), or back pain (lumbago).

Therapeutic Indications: Captopril - Hypertension. - Heart failure: treatment of chronic heart failure with reduced systolic ventricular function, in combination with diuretics and, when appropriate, with digitalis and beta-blockers. - Myocardial infarction: Short-term treatment (4 weeks): indicated for clinically stable patients within the first 24 hours following a heart attack. Long-term prevention of symptomatic heart failure: clinically stable patients with asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction (ejection fraction ≤ 40%). - Type 1 diabetic nephropathy: treatment of macroproteinuric diabetic nephropathy in patients with type 1 diabetes. A drug used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It is also being studied for the prevention of side effects caused by radiation therapy used in cancer treatment. Pravastatin is indicated in patients with a history of myocardial infarction; unstable angina; cerebrovascular disease; and heart disease with atherosclerosis. Pravastatin is also useful for reducing cholesterol levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia.
