Dermatological Antibiotics

Clindamycin gel (also known as Dalatina) is a topical antibiotic that stops the growth of bacteria and helps control acne.

Topical neomycin has been used in cases of impetigo, ecthyma, folliculitis, eczema, infected seborrheic dermatitis, infected pressure ulcers and bedsores, minor burns and superficial wounds, episiotomies, varicose ulcers, and nipple cracks that show signs of infection.

Therapeutic Indications Clindamycin Treatment of the following serious infections caused by susceptible microorganisms: in ADs: community-acquired pneumonia caused by Staphylococcus aureus, aspiration pneumonia, empyema (community-acquired), lung abscess, acute pharyngotonsillitis caused by group A streptococcus (S. pyogenes), odontogenic infections, skin and soft tissue infections (complicated and uncomplicated), osteomyelitis, pneumonia caused by Pneumocystis jiroveci (Pneumocystis carinii) in patients with HIV infection, toxoplasmosis encephalitis in patients with HIV infection. In children > 1 month and < 18 years: acute sinusitis.

Clindamycin injection is used to treat certain types of bacterial infections, including infections of the lungs, skin, blood, bones, joints, female reproductive organs, as well as internal organs.
