Nausea

Ondansetron is used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and cancer surgery. Ondansetron belongs to a class of medications called serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonists.

Control of nausea and vomiting induced by cytotoxic chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and prevention and treatment of postoperative nausea and vomiting. In children ≥ 6 months: treatment of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting; in children ≥ 1 month: prevention and treatment of postoperative nausea and vomiting (injectable only).

Indications: Vomisin® is effective for the relief of motion sickness, nausea, and vomiting. Dosage and Directions: To prevent motion sickness, the first dose should be taken one and a half to one hour before beginning the activity.
