Mechanism of action Aluminum hydroxide + magnesium hydroxide + simethicone Antacid, antiflatulent, demulcent. Magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide combine with the hydrochloric acid in the stomach, neutralizing it. Simethicone breaks down air bubbles in the stomach and intestines. The gas is easily eliminated, thus preventing bloating and discomfort.
